Rango (Quick Review)

So last night I watched the film Rango. I was surprised to find a movie that not only children could laugh at, but parents too. Now I don’t have too much to write about this movie, so this will be more of a quick review.

First and foremost, Johnny Depp was great as Rango, a scared chameleon who finds himself in the desert after a near car accident while with his human owners. Johnny Depp’s voice and charisma stand out and help make the film as good as it is. The animation is great, the fur stands out as being the best in any animated film I can think of. It’s the kind of movie that deserves the Oscar it received.

Even though the movie was really good, I did have trouble with some of the character’s thick accents as it made some scenes hard to hear. Also, the plot might be to confusing for some children to follow, though it’s no Inception. Neither of these things are too bad, though. There are some really funny scenes that make up for the occasionally confusing plot anyways.

Overall, this was an enjoyment to watch and is really fun for the whole family. I give this film an 8 out of 10.
