The Expendables (Film Review)

The action heroes of old are back as a group of aged mercenaries who are tasked with taking down a Latin American dictator.

I had to commend them for trying to make a plot with emotion. And it’s always great to see the action heroes of old kick some other old guy’s across a room. This is the kind of movie you watch knowing it’s going to be stupid.

The acting from most of the actors is pretty terrible. Then again, I never really watch Dolph Lundgren or Sylvester Stallone for their poetic dialogue and skilled acting. The story, is pretty bad and felt like they were trying too hard with their limited resources in talent. Even though the movie is fairly short, it felt like it dragged too long.

Fun Fact: Plans for a sequel were already in the works 7 months before the movie was released.
