Sci-Fi Movie Fun Facts [Part One]

scifiweek

C’mon, who is ready for some fun facts!

The Matrix

Nicolas Cage turned down the role of Neo due to family commitments. Too bad, that would have been epic! 😛

The Time Machine (2002)

Simon Wells, the director, is the great-grandson to H.G. Wells, the author of the book in which the movie is based.

The Thing (1982)

John Carpenter stated that this is his favorite film out of all the ones he made.

The Thing (2011)

Made as a prequel because the director felt that John Carpenter’s version was too perfect to mess with. That’s pretty respectable.

  1. Funny that the director of the 2011 version didn’t want to mess with Carpenter’s perfect version of The Thing, yet he still thought a prequel (that would be constantly compared to the original) was necessary. I don’t know, that’s just interesting to me… 🙂
